Representative Martha McSally is taking her fight to improve Udall Park to Congress.

She introduced a bill to complete a 28-year-old land exchange between the City of Tucson and the Bureau of Land Management.

The Udall Park Land Exchange Completion Act will remove a reversion clause in the original agreement.

It will provide full control of the park to the city.

Tucson City Manager Michael Ortega joined McSally in Congress to share his support for the bill.

As we move forward, the development of Udall Park and the expansion of Udall Park including a farmer's market and cell tower would be prohibited without the reverter removed, Ortega said.

The House of Natural Resources Committee will consider the bill.
