PHOENIX (AP) - Phoenix police say a man struck by a light rail train Wednesday reportedly was walking on a sidewalk parallel to the tracks before he began crossing the adjacent street and was struck while on the tracks in between the traffic lanes.
Sgt. Armando Carbajal says the man is in extremely critical condition.
Carbajal says police have located at least one witness and are looking for surveillance video that might help explain what happened.
