Paying for childcare can really squeeze an American's budget. In fact, a new report says it costs more than college tuition in 28 states.
Child Care Aware of America just put out a report and a map indicating states most affected. Green areas have more affordable childcare while dark blue areas are more expensive.
The report says childcare costs up to $9,600 per year on average and also suggests increasing funding for childcare and offering parents more options to ease the burden of the high cost.
