Survey results to improve the safety of A Mountain

TUCSON, Ariz. — The results of a survey about A Mountain are in, and two-thirds of responders want the city of Tucson to have car-free times.

The city has been gauging in creating times or days when only pedestrian and bike traffic are allowed.

Some said to make it half the day, others preferred some full days every week. Nearly 3,000people took part in the survey.

There have already been changes to improve the road's safety, the speed limit has been lowered from 25 to 15, and there are community park officers patrolling the mountain.
