Firefighters have responded to a house fire that happened in the 4600 block of East 19th street around 5 p.m. Thanksgiving night.

Per TFD's press release, the fire department brought the flames under control in 20 minutes, stopping the fire in the kitchen of the house and preventing it from spreading to adjacent rooms and the attic.

Dan Heffelfinger, TFD's Battalion Chief and Public Information Officer, told KGUN9 that there was no one home during the fire. However, he did confirm that firefighters rescued two dogs that they found inside.

No injuries to civilians or firefighters were reported.

TFD asks the public to call 9-1-1 if they see smoke or hear smoke alarms in their neighborhood.
