Horse racing has officially returned to the Rillito Race Track.
The new season kicked off Saturday and will continue every weekend through March 19.
It was a tough road towards this year's winter meet as the youth soccer community wanted to add more soccer fields at Rillito Park.
Last month Rillito Racing received a four-year extension on their lease to continue horse racing through 2021.
