"The demand for construction employers and workers is growing as well as our workforce is aging so we are trying to figure out how do we get that middle gap," said Ramon Gaanderse, the Southern Arizona Construction Career Day's co-founder.
Students participated in hands-on activities to learn more about various jobs and tasks ranging from engineering, architecture and utility work.

"It's really changing my life around, like this program that they are having now like all this stuff is really good for everyone to get out and see what actually goes on and what you want to do in your career," said Gabriel Mireles, a high school student.
The construction fair goes on tomorrow from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Tucson Rodeo Grounds.
