The Canada del Oro wash and Overton on the northwest side is now open.

The wash started as a small trickle and then grew to a much stronger current. In a matter of minutes, the whole roadway was covered in rushing water.
Some cars made it through before Pima County Sheriffs Department closed the road.
Residents said that these floods at the wash are common.
"We have runoffs so we just have to move dirt around in the backyard and things like that make sure it leaves our property," said Bowen Brown.
Brown shared that when it rains really hard he takes a seat to enjoy the view.
"We have couches on the back porch so we sit outside and enjoy it," he said. "We love when it rains here."

The CDO ran all day with no injuries reported.
