Gun violence prevention advocates gathered for an afternoon and evening of music on Saturday for National Gun Violence Awareness Day.
The event is from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the YWCA near St. Mary's and Grande at 525 N. Bonita Ave.
Organizers say the day is a chance for the community to reflect on gun violence and people injured or killed in shootings.
The group recognized the political nature of the issue and held a voter registration drive.
