Even though Hurricane Matthew hit thousands of miles away from Tucson, one local group is doing their part to send desperately needed supplies. And they need your help.

Haiti Rebuild is a nonprofit founded by Haitians living here in Tucson. They work with several groups who are established on the ground in Haiti, so you can ensure your donation will be used appropriately and actually get to the people who need help most.

From 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. on Wednesday, they will be collecting medical supplies, hygiene products, non-perishable foods, and any item you are willing to donate.

There are two locations for the drive:

TFD Station 16:
7575 E. Speedway
Behind the Ward 2 office

Tucson Firefighters Association Hall:
2264 E. Benson Highway

For more information, visit the group's Facebook page. If you can't stop by, you can make a monetary donation online at their GoFundMe page.
