PIMA COUNTY, Ariz. — Approximately 500,000 boxes of cookies were distributed to girl scout troops across Pima County Friday.
It's part of the annual cookie drop to prepare for cookie season 2020.
All of the classics are returning this year including fan favorites; thin mints and samosas, but there's a new cookie joining the collection this year.
Girl Scouts of Southern Arizona Kristen Hernandez said "We're really excited to introduce a new cookie this year called the lemon ups. Each cookie has a saying that really represents our girls and what they do with this amazing entrepreneurship program. Sayings such as I am a go getter, I am an innovator, I am a leader."
