It's a bar room beer stain that patrons don't mind seeing. In fact, those who know about it, love it!

It's on the ceiling on the 2nd floor of Gentle Ben's and it's been there for 20 years.

On March 31, 1997, as Miles Simon hugged the ball and the seconds on the game clock ran down to a NCAA National Championship, bar customers tossed their beer in the air.

And what went up, never came down! All the beers hit the ceiling and left a large stain.

Over two decades, through remodels, renovations and paint jobs the stain has stayed!

“It’s become a bit of a good luck charm over the past 20 years,” said Gentle Ben's owner Dennis Arnold, “and we think this is the year for the second coming.”

To some, it's the stain that's become a shrine. Arnold says some customers even take selfies with it!

Arnold is unsure what will happen to the stain if the Cats win it all again this year, but he hopes it will lead them to victory.
