The Frye Fire seven miles southwest of Safford has increased to 2,084 acres at 16 percent containment.
The lightning-caused fire began on June 7.
According to the Coronado National Forest Service, there are 234 persons assigned, with nine engines, six crews, six helicopters, two dozers, and four water tenders.
An area closure is in effect that includes all campgrounds, roadways, and trail systems north of Shannon Campground at the junction of Highway 366 and Forest Road 507.
Stage one fire restrictions are in effect.
