Frye Fire has burned 631 acres

The Frye Fire burning seven miles southwest of Safford has increased to 631 acres.

According to the Coronado National Forest Service, the fire began on June 7 and was caused by lightning. It's currently zero percent contained. There are currently 162 persons assigned, with four engines, five crews, three helicopters, one dozer and one excavator.

A community meeting is scheduled for Monday, June 16, at 7:00 p.m. at the Graham County General Services Office located at 921 Thatcher Blvd.
