The City of Tucson Department Transportation is handing out free sandbags Monday from Noon - 8 p.m.
Tucsonans can pick up sandbags at two different locations:
Pre-filled sandbags are available at the Tucson Rodeo Grounds (4823 S. Sixth Avenue) with a limit of 10 bags per vehicle.
In addition, a self-serve sandbag site is open in the east parking lot of Hi Corbett Field (700 S. Randolph Way).
The free sandbags are meant to assist with property protection from potential flooding due to remnants of Hurricane Rosa.
