The American Federation of Children is inviting families to enjoy a morning at Reid Park Zoo on Saturday.
The first 1,000 kids in line before the zoo opens at 8 a.m. will receive backpacks filled with school supplies and admission will be free for kids from 8 a.m.- 12 p.m. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Parents will have the opportunity to learn about Empowerment Scholarship Accounts, now open to nearly all Arizona children to use. ESA's can also help parents pay for private school tuition, home school curriculum, online classes, and other education expenses.
Reid Park Zoo, 3400 E. Zoo Ct., is hosting AFC advocates who are on tour to help families who can't afford school supplied and educate them on ESA's.
