TUCSON, Ariz. — The underpass connecting Tucson Fourth Avenue to Downtown lit up in teal for awareness of Fragile X Monday.
It's the color of the Fraxa Research Foundation.
They raise awareness for Fragile X Syndrome, which is the most known cause of Autism.
It's a rare disease that affects just 1 in 4-thousand males, and 1 in 6-thousand females.
The historic Fourth Avenue underpass, one of 20 places across the country lit up.
The goal is to shine a spotlight on the need to fund research to find effective treatment, and ultimately a cure for Fragile X.
