Former Arizona Governor Jan Brewer will continue to support Donald J. Trump despite a 2005 video that surfaced where Trump is heard making controversial comments.

She said that she is "repulsed by the detestable language" but withdrawing her support for Trump "would simply not be doing the right thing for our country."

On Saturday night Brewer released the following statement on her Facebook page:

I am repulsed by the detestable language used by Donald Trump. It was wrong, inappropriate and disgusting.

If there's one thing I've learned in my years of public service, it's that doing the right thing almost always means doing the hard thing.

Donald did the right thing by taking ownership of his words and apologizing.

However, withdrawing my support from Donald Trump – our Republican nominee – would simply not be doing the right thing for our country.

There is too much at stake if we elect Hillary Clinton: The future of our Supreme Court, our country’s national security, securing our border, improving our economy and bringing back jobs to America.

Hillary Clinton’s action have literally put our national security at risk with her emails, illegal basement server and destruction of evidence. She brags about creating open borders and granting amnesty to illegal aliens. She continues to support Obamacare as it collapses under its own weight. She implemented pay to play with the Clinton Foundation. Then, at the end of the day, she just lies about all of this. She’ll say one thing at a campaign rally and then behind closed doors disparage Bernie Sander’s supporters while praising Wall Street insiders as they paid her thousands of dollars for her speeches.

Hillary Clinton – the consummate politician – cannot be trusted.

I continue to support Donald Trump for President. It’s the right thing to do for our country.
