TUCSON, Ariz. — Howard Schultz, the billionaire founder and former CEO of Starbucks who is considering an independent run for president, is planning a town hall event in Tucson.
The event is scheduled to be at the University of Arizona Monday evening.
Schultz, a lifelong Democrat and frequent donor to the party, is pitching his bid for president as an independent, separate from partisans on both the left and right. He was the CEO of Starbucks for decades, overseeing the coffee chain's massive expansion and success.
The town hall event will be held at McClelland Hall at the Eller College of Management at 6 p.m. Monday.
