Tucson Sector Border Patrol agents arrested convicted felon Francisco Javier Rosas-Molina when he illegally crossed into the United States on Sunday.

Rosas-Molina was previously convicted in Mexico for the murder of a U.S. Border Patrol Agent Jorge Salomon-Martinez in 2003.

Agent Salomon was traveling off-duty when Rosas-Molina attacked him because he was a Border Patrol agent.

Rosas-Molina now faces prosecution by the U.S. Attorney’s Office for illegal re-entry of an aggravated felon.
