TUCSON, Ariz. — A Tucson group claims a duck at Fort Lowell Park died Thursday after it was found shot.
According to a Facebook post from the group Friends of Fort Lowell Park, someone found one of the semi-domesticated ducks injured at the park's "wildlife oasis."
They took it to Tucson Wildlife Center, where experts determined a pellet from a BB or pellet gun had rendered it paralyzed, and had to be euthanized.
The group says they reported the incident to state and federal wildlife authorities, and an investigation is ongoing.
