Every morning and afternoon, a school bus drops kids off at Kids Ville daycare in midtown. Each time the bus stops, it worries teacher Deborah Gerlach who says drivers just speed by when they should be stopping so kids can get off safely.
Gerlach says this has been going on for months, and she finally got frustrated enough to call KGUN9 in an effort to get the community to listen.
Tucson Police Department has been out to the area, and Gerlach said it helped slow drivers down, but the moment officers left, the problem came right back.
KGUN9 spoke with TPD, and officers want to remind drivers that if there's no median, you need to stop regardless of what side of the street you're on.
A ticket for disregarding this could cost you a minimum of $250.
