TUCSON. ARIZ. — The Rio Nuevo board is moving forward to transform Downtown Tucson's tallest building into a hotel and office space.
The board unanimously approved a $38 million proposal.
It would transform the 23-story tower located at 1 south Church Ave.
The first eight floors would be a hotel with meeting spaces. The rest would remain offices.
The plan is just waiting on the executive officer's approval, pending a financial analysis.
