More than 80 residents joined Douglas Mayor Robert Uribe in pulling weeds at one of the city's most neglected alleyways Saturday.
"We had this place turned up and cleaned up within 45 minutes," Uribe told KGUN9. "Can you imagine what we can do as a community when we stand up and we realize what we can do together?"
Mayor Uribe hopes to make this a regular effort.
The next city clean-up will be announced on the city's Facebook page.
