The Salvation Army's "Operation Chill Out” officially kicks off on June 1.

With extreme temperatures just around the corner, The Salvation Army is asking the public for summer survival resources for the needy.

Shawna Kroh, Public Relations Director, says The Salvation Army has once again teamed up with Naughton’s Plumbing, Heating and Cooling to collect supplies.

From June 1 through August 30, The Salvation Army is asking for donations of unopened bottled water, hats, sunglasses, umbrellas, light-color clothing, sun block and lip balm, to be dropped off at any Naughton’s store location or The Salvation Army Hospitality House at 1002 N.  Main Avenue.

Monetary donations are also being accepted. Call (520) 795-9671 to pay by credit card or you donate by mail to The Salvation Army, 1002 N. Main Avenue, Tucson, AZ 85705.  Please put “Accountant” on the attention line and designate to “Operation Chill Out".
