Sheriff Estrada says it went well.
Estrada has been critical of President Trump's policies in the past, and the idea of the wall was discussed briefly today.
But Estrada explained to Secretary Kelly the importance of the relationship between the U.S. and Mexico in Santa Cruz County.
"Mexico is our ally. And that we need to do everything we can to recognize that. With regards to that apply more officers to the ports of entry because of the majority of activity and drugs, so when they don't come over here, it hurts the economy as well."
All of the sheriff's in attendance brought their own, unique concerns to the table they have different experiences in southern Arizona.
