A fire that sparked on Friday and spread to 5,500 acres is now 90 percent contained.

Firefighters believe the Cumero Fire is human-caused and is under further investigation.

The U.S. Forest Service says the fire began around 9:30 a.m. Friday next to Cumero Mountain which is 10 miles northeast of Sasabe.

Winds helped to spread the fire among grass and brush.

Ground teams and a helicopter are fighting the fire on the Nogales Ranger District of the Coronado National Forest.
