County to hold second warrant resolution day

The Pima County Justice Court will open its doors Saturday to allow people with outstanding warrants to quash them.
 
The court will open early to allow people to resolve pending legal issues. as part of a warrant resolution event. 
It will begin at 9 a.m. and go through 3 p.m. Court officials say, it is one of several strategies to keep non-violent, misdemeanor offenders out of jail, and save taxpayers thousands of dollars on inmates. 
 
Those with active warrants will have a chance to void these warrants, lift suspensions and have driver's licenses reinstated. There will also be for those who owe court fees and fines, there will be seven service windows will also be open for people who owe court fees and fines to quickly resolve them. Several judges and attorneys will also be available to facilitate the resolution of outstanding warrants.
 
It will not be the first time the court holds an event like this, more than 650 people attended the first event which was held in June. 
 
Meanwhile, court officials hope the community sees this as an opportunity for people to address their warrant status without interrupting their work week.
