Traffic is likely to be backed up Tuesday in an area known to flood.
Crews will be working along Stone and Speedway to improve drainage.
The $2.5 million project is in its second phase and will include, medians, curbs, street lighting and a new roadway.
On Tuesday night there will be a road closure on Stone from Helen Street to First Street starting at 8 p.m.
The area is scheduled to reopen next Monday night.
