TUCSON, Ariz. — A hearing in Federal Court Tuesday could stop the proposed Rosemont Copper Mine in Santa Rita Mountains, at least temporarily.

The judge is set to hear arguments from conservation groups and Native American Tribes seeking an injunction to stop activity at the mine,

They say the project will destroy nearly 4,000 acres of public land and endanger wildlife.

The tribes say the project will desecrate burial, and other sacred sites.

The mining company that plans to build Rosemont Mine says they'll work with the judge and other agencies in the development of this mine.
