The Pima County Sheriff's Department has added a permanent drop box for unused prescriptions and over the counter medications.
The box will be installed at the Tucson Mountain District Office at 6261 N. Sandario Road.
It will be accessible from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.
The following items will be accepted:
- Pills
- Capsules
- Caplets
- Gel Caps
- Medicated Patches
- Powders
The following items will NOT be accepted:
- Metal or glass inhalation aerosol bottles
- Syringes
- Epi-pens
- Creams
- Liquids
- Diabetic test strips
