Retired Army Major Chris Russell announced he will seek the Democratic nomination for the open U.S. Senate seat in Arizona during the 2018 election.
Russell has lived in Arizona for 17 years.
He is a trial lawyer and owns Russell's Law Firm.
He says his military and business background will help him run for the Democratic nomination in next year's race.
Russell says he is concerned both parties have not worked together to serve the people.
Earlier this week, we learned Congresswoman McSally may run for the Senate seat as well.
