Former Chief Deputy Chris Radtke with the Pima County Sheriff's Department has pleaded not guilty to misusing RICO funds.
Radtke was indicted on federal money laundering charges.
The FBI indictment shows that Radtke misused about $500,000 in anti-racketeering funds.
The document shows that Radtke had conspired with others in the sheriff's department to donate RICO money to the Sheriff's Auxiliary Volunteers and then use a credit card to pay for items not permitted by law.
Some of those items included artwork, model airplanes, and restaurant bills.
Radtke's next court appearance is in November 22.
