A Montana company will be building part of a border wall in Arizona.
U.S. Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) announced the $324 million contract Thursday afternoon in a press release. The company, Barnard Construction, is expected to begin the work in April.
The main portion of the contract will be to build a "primary pedestrian replacement wall" near Yuma and Lukeville, Arizona, as well as upgrading existing fencing in those areas.
CBP says the contract will be paid with federal funds from the 2018 fiscal year. President Trump ordered construction of the wall, and several other immigration measures, in an executive order last year.
