More than 100 people gathered at a Blue Lives Matter rally in Oro Valley on Thursday evening.
The rally was organized by the non-profit Heirs of the Republic at the James Kreigh Park. President Jeff Utsch says the goal of the event was not to be divisive with other groups, but to show support for our local law enforcement.
Utsch says our Founding Fathers understood the need for local police, and we our lucky to have such great officers in Pima County.
Utsch and his group also encourages people to donate to the 100 Club of Arizona. It gives financial help to the families of fallen law enforcement officers.
A number of agencies attended the rally, including the Tucson Police Department.
