MARANA, Ariz. (KGUN9-TV) - Authorities are searching for a man who dug up a total of eight cacti and stole them in the Dove Mountain area, on Saturday, January 23.
The suspect and the suspect's vehicle were photographed by a hunting camera that had been installed in the area by the property developer.
The suspect dug up the eight cacti and placed them in the back of a gold Chevrolet truck. Marana Police say it is a mid 2000's model.
Marana PD describe he as a white or Hispanic male in his mid 40's to mid 50's. He has grey/ white hair and a mustache. He was last seen wearing a red long sleeve shirt, blue jeans and a Nike baseball cap.
A total of 22 cacti have been stolen over the past several weeks that total over $1,300 in value.

Marana PD does not believe this incident is related to the slashed Saguaros at Saguaro National Park West.
