If you want to take part in shaping America's future, today is a big day for you. Today is the deadline to register to vote in all but one county in Arizona.
No more chances left procrastinate, if you want to take part in the general election, today, Monday October 10, is your last chance. Although it is too late to mail in your registration, there are still other ways you can do it. Would-be voters can register in-person at the County Recorder's office, which is in Downtown. Another option, is registering online through the Service Arizona website. Online registrations are accepted until 11:59 p.m.
The decision to make today the last day to register did come with some controversy, Secretary of State Michele Reagan refused to extend the deadline despite calls from state and national democrats to add a day because today is Columbus Day and there's no mail service. So the last day to mail a registration form was Saturday.
There has been some confusion, some people are used to registering at the post offices or Motor Vehicle Division offices, but those options are ruled out for today since they will be closed.
