TUCSON, Ariz. — September is National Hunger Action Month, which encourages people to raise awareness about the issue.

The fast food restaurant Arby's is getting involved in Tucson.

They are donating $3,500 to the Community Food Banks Childhood Nutrition Programs.

Chief development officer Sio Castillo says "One in four children are insecure in our community, which means they don't know where their food - their next meal - is coming from. So this is very helpful so like though our school pantries program we serve approximately 13 thousand children in about 14 different sites."

The money was raised through an annual fundraiser to youth charities.

Arby's is still raising funds through the end of the month.
