TUCSON, Ariz. — Tucson Fire rescued a person this morning who was in an appliance yard fire at the 5200 block of South Nogales Highway around 7:30 a.m. Per a TFD press release, the patient is in his forties and being treated for burns and smoke inhalation.
Tucson Fire arrived on scene at 7:37 a.m. after call was made reporting a tree on fire, but crews dicsovered that a yard stacked with vehicles and appliances.
Nine units got the fire under control in nine minutes, and now TFD is working the scene to determine the cause and origin of the fire.
TFD responded to the 5200 block of S. Nogales Highway for a fire early Saturday. Vehicles and appliances were stacked around the property but the fire was extinguished within 9 minutes of arriving.
