Arizona letter carriers will be collecting more than mail on Saturday.

May 12 has been dedicated to the annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive to benefit local food banks throughout the state.

To donate to the food drive, leave a non-perishable food donation in a bag by your mailbox on Saturday, and the postal carriers will do the rest.

Food banks often receive a lot of donations during the holiday season in the winter - this is a way to keep them stocked during the summer months.

One in six Americans is unsure where their next meal is coming from, according to the US Postal Service. This food drive is an effort to Stamp Out Hunger by collecting meals for people who are food insecure.
