Volunteers gathered Wednesday morning to place American flags along the route where the body of Senator John McCain will pass.
Max Fose worked with McCain in the 90’s and said this was a way for people to honor him.
“What better way to honor an American hero, a prisoner of war," Fose said. "He dedicated his entire life to our country.”
Many people who placed the flags along the route said it was a way for them to heal and grieve the death of John McCain.
