TUCSON, Ariz. — Motorists with a portable permanent disability placard will no longer need to worry about expiration dates.

According to the Arizona Department of Transportation, a new state law eliminated the five year renewal requirement.

The placard allows disabled motorists to use more than one vehicle or for family members who drive a disabled person in a car without a disability plate.

Blue placards can be exchanged for the new one at any time, regardless of expiration dates.
