A newly released study by WalletHub ranks the best and worst states to be a police officer across the 50 states and the District of Columbia.

New York state was ranked as the best for police officers in the country, while Arizona ranked 47th in the U.S.

Louisiana was ranked as the worst state to be a police officer, according to the study.
