So let's say you're not happy with all of that holiday shopping you'll be doing. How easy will it be to get your money back?
Well, many of your favorite stores are giving extended time periods for returns over the holidays.
Here's a look at a few:
Apple: Purchases through Apple online or in store until Christmas Day can be returned through January 8, 2020. After that date, it's back to their 14-day return policy.
TJ Maxx: Items bought until December 24th can be returned through January 25th, 2020.
Ross: No extended holiday return dates. You have 30 days to make most returns.
Best Buy: Buy until December 31st and you can return until January 14th, 2020. But you only have 14 days for cell phones, and 15 days for major appliance returns.
Amazon: You normally get 30 days to return. For the holidays, if the item is shipped between now and December 31, you have until January 31, 2020 to return. Amazon third-party sellers may have different policies.
Wherever you buy, keep receipts, don't destroy packaging and since electronics have limited return periods, if you ordered them online as gifts, open the boxes now.
If that new television screen is shattered from delivery, waiting until Christmas Day may be too late to return.
