TUCSON, AZ – Emergency crews on Saturday afternoon rescued several people who had been trying to climb from the wash in the Fairgrounds area.
Just after 4 p.m., the Tucson Fire Department received reports of multiple people trying to climb out of the wash near Park Avenue and Ajo Way.
First responders performed a swift-water rescue, pulling the people out safely.
No injuries were reported.
Fire officials are reminding the public to never enter a flooded wash or roadway.
