Car-free and care-free.

That's the idea behind Cyclovia -- the event that shuts down Tucson streets and welcomes anyone *not in a car.

This year, Cyclovia had a brand new route.

Pedestrians, cyclists and skaters and all other forms of people-powered movement went through Barrio San Antonio, Miles neighborhood, Rincon Heights and Sam Hughes neighborhood.

It's a day to come out and explore Tucson in a whole new way.

"So when you get out and you just say hi to everybody, that's what the community is about. It's about expanding just the idea of getting out there and getting together and knowing everybody. There's good people in this community, no matter who they are," said a participant.

Cyclovia began in 2010. The next event is October 30th.
