Colleen Thomas was nominated by Marcela Arizpuro for the innovative ways she engages students and families at Mesa Verde Elementary. Colleen is the lead food service attendant and arrives ready to provide a nutritious meal. She also thinks of fun ways to engage students, like through her daily drawings! Colleen also created a wonderful partnership with Mesa Verde’s PTO, and staff collaborating and developing numerous events focused on building a culture of connectedness within the community.
