The Arizona Charitable Tax Credit program allows you to make a donation to an eligible organization and receive a dollar-for-dollar credit against Arizona state taxes owed.

Arizona law provides an income tax credit for cash contributions made to certain charities that provide help to the working poor.

A qualifying charity is one that is exempt from federal income tax under IRS Code Section 501(c)(3). The charity must be qualified and designated by the Arizona Department of Revenue.

Couples who file jointly can reduce their state taxes by up to $800. Individuals or head of household filers can claim a tax credit of up to $400.
