Sonoita vineyards is a third-generation winery with more than 30 acres of vines.

"It's a whole lot of work for a little bottle," says Lori Reynolds," Winemaker and General Manager of Sonoita Vineyards.

Southern Arizona is known for good weather year round, but the same can't be true when it comes to harvesting grapes.

"Peak season for growing is April, and we harvest mid-August," says Reynolds.

When you're at Sonoita Vineyards, expect to taste everything from Sauvignon Blancs to fruity Merlots, to even something different like a Pinot Noir rose. And it's not just the grapes that give the wine it's taste.

"Depending on how what the acidity level is, how's it tasting, is still too tart, does it need to smooth out some more, or is it ready to come out, get blended, and go into the bottle," says Reynolds.

So whether you're from out of town or a local, you'll feel right at home at Sonoita Vineyards.
