The dog flu, or canine influenza, is a highly contagious illness that's active all year long. This time of year is one of the highest risk seasons for your pet to catch the virus.
It spreads through direct contact, or through the air by barking, coughing or sneezing. Your pet can also contract it from contaminated food, water bowls, toys and leashes.
